In addition to our recent growth in Federal Civilian agencies, we are seeking to expand our capabilities in cloud development and footprint in -security focused agencies within the Department of Defense and U.S. Intelligence Community.

CTEC develops and delivers innovative customer-centric technologies and solutions that facilitate the Department of Energy's (DOE) Los Alamos Laboratory (LANL).
Job Summary:
BS/BA degree in engineering or science plus ten (10) years of direct or related experience in the engineering or science field. Relevant expertise includes extensive knowledge of analytical techniques, experience in gathering data to solve complex technical problems (e.g., requirements definition, operations research, modeling), and team leader responsibilities. My duties may include analysis of complex issues, the definition of functional requirements, operations research, modeling, process analysis, and design, developing and providing training materials, and daily supervision.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Analyze complex problems and define functional requirements.
• Conduct operations research, modeling, process analysis, and design.
• Develop and provide training materials.
• Provide daily supervision and team leadership.
• Lead and direct engineering or technical efforts for significant project areas.
• Check Creo models and drawings for form, fit, and function, conduct tolerance and stack analysis, and ensure compliance with standards.
• Recommend methods for improvement to ensure product definition meets requirements for producibility while reducing product defects.
• Develop and interpret 3D CAD model standards, practices, and procedures.
• Oversee hardware fabrication, inspection, and assembly processes.
• Manage weapon-system configuration workflows for authorizing, reviewing, releasing, and distributing models, drawings, specifications, and related product definitions.
• Lead reviews for design, manufacture, assembly, and tests.
• Mentor and guide other checkers and design staff in mechanical design and modeling.
• Develop constructive, cooperative working relationships with engineers, physicists, scientists, technologists, and technicians.
Skills & Work Experience:
• Minimum of ten (10) years of direct or related experience in the engineering or science field.
• Extensive knowledge of analytical techniques and experience in gathering data to solve complex technical problems.
• Proven experience in mechanical computer-aided design, manufacturing, inspection, assembly, and testing.
• Experience with Creo 3D CAD software, PDMLink Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), GD&T, and tolerance stack-up analysis software.
• Advanced knowledge of ASME Y14 standards, with emphasis on Y14.5 - 2009 and Y14.41 MBD.
• Extensive knowledge of hardware fabrication, inspection, and assembly processes.
• Experience with weapon-system configuration management workflows.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work on multiple customer tasks.
• Proven leadership experience guiding teams through design iterations and addressing potential engineering defects.
Clearance: Active Q clearance required.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Significant experience in draft/design work in both weapons and non-weapons arenas.
• Significant experience in developing and implementing organizational design and/or drafting standards.
• Experience in recommending methods for improvement that comply with NNSA, laboratory, and industry standards, as well as best practices for model-based definition.
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
