PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Process & Design Support: Assist in developing and optimizing paper board production processes to improve efficiency and product quality, ensuring your work reflects our commitment to high ethical standards and trustworthiness.
  • Hands-On Equipment Experience: Gain practical exposure by supporting routine operations and troubleshooting advanced manufacturing equipment, showcasing your resourcefulness in driving performance with purpose.
  • Technical Documentation: Read, interpret, and update mechanical and electrical drawings to ensure accuracy and precision, upholding our standard of integrity in every detail.
  • CAD & Modeling: Utilize CAD software (experience with SolidWorks is ) to create, modify, and refine design models, contributing innovative solutions that add value for both internal and external customers.
  • Collaborative Problem Solving: Work with engineers and production teams to identify challenges, brainstorm solutions, and implement process improvements that support a caring and collaborative culture.
  • Quality & Safety Compliance: Contribute to maintaining high standards of quality and safety in all manufacturing activities, reflecting SCT’s commitment to ethical practices and community responsibility.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or a related field).
  • Solid understanding of engineering principles with the ability to interpret technical drawings accurately.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive, self-starting attitude.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with a commitment to serving others and building strong, respectful relationships.

Skills:

  • Academic or hands-on experience in manufacturing processes, especially in paper or materials engineering.
  • Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) to support design and modeling activities.
  • A willingness to embrace new challenges and contribute innovative ideas that drive continuous improvement.

SKILLS: Must have the ability to read, understand, and communicate to others topics such as company policies, employment related legal documents, company benefits, etc. and write legibly in English. Must be able to understand and speak clearly, and communicate in English. Spanish-speaking ability a plus, but not required.
