Job DescriptionJob DescriptionCareer Strategy Consultants is seeking an Engineering and Maintenance Director for a Steel Manufacturer in the Chicagoland area. This is a full-time permanent (Direct Hire) position. Our client will offer a highly competitive base salary plus an extremely lucrative annual bonus structure. Job Summary

• Responsible for a wide range of plant functions including engineering, manufacturing, employee relations, maintenance, quality and safety.
• Participates in the development of long-range goals and objectives company-wide and for assigned departments.
• Leads efforts to ensure continuous improvement and optimization of manufacturing and plant operations. Identifies, plans and implements improvements to plant, machinery, equipment and facilities.
• Ensures employee safety, respect for the environment and security of the plant.
• Develops, supports and participates in the implementation of means to ensure appropriate training, cross training, professional development and quality management consistent with departmental and company-wide goals and objectives.
• Participates in formulating, administering, supporting and enforcing company policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering related field , with a minimum of 8-10 years of related experience.
• 10 years’ progressive experience in manufacturing management; 7+ years’ experience supervising, directing, delegating and training a manufacturing team.
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with an ability to establish and maintain effective and productive relationships with colleagues, subordinates and vendors.
• A strong mechanical aptitude with demonstrated experience with machinery, equipment and facilities.
