Job DescriptionResponsibilities
As an Engineering Buyer, you will be a key player in ensuring that the supply chain operates seamlessly. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing the existing supply chain with proficiency in using the SAGE/SICON MRP system.
- Cultivating professional relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to continuously enhance the cost, quality, and continuity of supply.
- Expedite deliveries from suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring that promised shipment dates are consistently met.
Requirements:
Our client is looking for a professional who possesses the following:
- Demonstrated prior experience in procuring electrical and mechanical components within the context of an engineering or manufacturing environment, highlighting the pivotal role experience plays.
- A steadfast ability to remain composed under pressure and consistently exhibit professionalism, reinforcing the importance of experience in maintaining composure.
- A robust foundation in negotiating at all levels, underlining the value of cumulative experience in honing these skills.
- Proficiency in IT, with specific knowledge of SICON MRP proving to be an advantageous asset, with experience-based proficiency being especially valuable.
- Exceptional interpersonal and team-working skills, which are best cultivated through practical experience.
- An innate systematic, logical, and organised approach, emphasising the role of hands-on experience in developing these qualities, especially when managing a high-volume workload.

- £35k+ depending on experience
- Work hours: Embrace a balanced work-life schedule with a 5-day workweek, featuring office hours from 7:30 am to 4 pm, Monday through Thursday, and 7:30 am to 1 pm on Fridays.
