Engineering Director (F/M/D)

The Engineering Director leads the Global Engineering department of Hug Engineering (~ 55 people). The main responsibilities are the following: Strategical Product Roadmap Team Strategy (Competency & Footprint) Technical Product & Process Customer Project Review Development Project Review Technical Expertise Complex Projects analysis, layout & approval Tool selection and strategy Development Process Customers & Partners External representation Sales support (Material) Engineering sales (Offer follow up, etc.) Team management Coaching & Mentoring Team Administration for Direct Report (10) Budget and Forecast The Engineering Director will have an additional duty as a Member of the Hug Leadership team. YOUR PROFILE: Higher education degree (Master or PhD in Engineering) Minimum 15 years of experience in an industrial environment including at least 5 years leadership experience in a global environment Deep understanding of Internal Combustion Engine and Emissions reductions technologies Good understanding of Industrial Automation Systems (PLC, Safety integrated level) & Large scale SteelWork assemblies Experience in Marine or Stationary applications is highly desirable Experience with Marine Class Societies is an advantage Good financial knowledge Customer and Results orientation Excellent communication skills and capability to influence and negotiate Strong Leadership and management skills: proven ability to establish, develop, lead and coach a team Hug Engineering is one of the world‘s leading manufacturers of exhaust aftertreatment systems for high horsepower engines in mobile and stationary operations.
