We are seeking a document control administrator for our engineering department, to ensure revisions, design adjustments and release processes are executed to a high level of detail.
Working daily with our global engineering team, you will be responsible for creating drawings and associated production documents for our airways and buoyancy product categories. Using your expertise in SolidWorks and experience in drawing dimensioning, detail and callouts, you will support our manufacturing and design teams alike with maintaining current and correct specifications for our manufactured products.
You will methodically update legacy documentation to newer standards, identifying changes and notifying production and supply chain teams as to correct revisions for future use. This position can be fulfilled remotely from any time zone in the continental US or the Americas. Excellent command of the English is a requirement.

Key Responsibilities

Create, edit, improve and modify engineering drawings, SolidWorks part files and assemblies and technical manuals (English)

Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, and project management teams to collect and disseminate relevant documents

Align part numbers and component characteristics with NetSuite CRM system, managing revisions and associated production details

Review and verify documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory standards and project specifications

Implement quality control processes to minimize errors and improve document integrity

Generate and maintain reports on document status, including overdue items and upcoming deadline

Provide training and support to team members on document control processes and tools

Assist in the development and improvement of document management procedures

Stay current with industry best practices and standards related to document control and commissioning processes

Administer and maintain the SolidWorks PDM system, ensuring optimal performance and security.

Develop and enforce PDM workflows, standards, and best practices.

Job Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities

Degree in mechanical engineering or higher, in an engineering or related field with 3 or more years work experience in medical, aerospace or similar industry

Advanced expertise in SolidWorks, SolidWorks PDM and document revision control through use of Vaults

Skilled at technical writing in English

High level of detail - focused on perfect documentation

Experience in dimensioning, tolerance callouts and related technical inspection criteria for machined and molded metal and plastic parts

Experience with machined products and machining processes

Expert ability to communicate effectively with others including the ability to provide clear, constructive feedback to others helpful.

Technical ability to converse in Mandarin is a plus
