Please visit www.iko.com for more information.At our Madoc, ON facility we mine, manufacture and distribute coloured granules for our shingles. The Madoc facility is comprised of a 400 acre open pit mining operation, industrial manufacturing plant (crushing and colouring), product distribution services and on-going construction projects. As this is a facility that includes the mining and crushing of rock, the work environment can be quite harsh. The plant is not climate controlled, and the nature of our process creates dusty and dirty conditions within the facility. Open grating on platforms and stairs are used to access all 5 levels of both plants. Madoc is a rural community of approximately 1000 people located a 30 minute drive north of Belleville, ON. The IKO plant is located in the country 5 kms west of Madoc. Housing is available, free of charge, in a company owned house beside the plant. Candidates must arrange for their own transportation - this is a very rural setting and no form of public transportation is available.When you join us you will:- Work with the Plant Maintenance team (Supervisors, Millwrights, etc.), to help drive progress reliability initiatives within the plant- Collect and analyze data from Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), including trending of critical equipment to determine common failure modes at the plant- Support project delivery of both capital and non-capital scopes, liaising with clients, contractor representatives and/or project field personnel as necessary- Complete project related tasks and deliverables, including but not limited to initial design criteria, basis for design input and project approval requests-Support project commissioning and start up activities where applicable-Work with field teams on site troubleshooting with technical assistance. Key areas for support to include but not be limited to evaluation of crushing and screening processes, testing of quarry raw materials, paint production, roofing shingle granule colour and chemical applications-Complete task and project reporting, both cost and scheduleOur ideal candidate would be:- Proficient in MS software (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)- Able to read and interpret technical drawings and documents, with proficiency in AutoCAD a plus- Conduct work in a professional manner and communicate effectively- Critical thinking skills, and a high degree of organization are a must- Good communication skills (spoken and written)- Troubleshooting capability is a plus- Ability to operate autonomously and with groups while prioritizing tasks/workloadTransportation and HousingTransport - Candidates must arrange for their own transportation.
