Job Description:
The Engineering and Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the management of the maintenance department, including buildings and grounds for the assigned facility.
This position will be responsible for all day-to-day operations of the Maintenance Team. The Supervisor will also be responsible for staying within the maintenance budget and leading projects associated with productivity increase, cost savings and capacity increase.
Inspect buildings, equipment, and systems to identify any issues.
Repair faulty equipment units and damaged structures.
Develop and implement preventative maintenance procedures.
Manage heating and plumbing systems to guarantee functionality.
Plan and schedule repairs.
Conduct periodic quality checks on equipment and systems to ensure everything is up to standard.
Perform general maintenance tasks including landscaping, painting, and carpentry.
Help develop and implement the budget for the maintenance department.
Maintain the inventory records for equipment and supplies.
Performs other tasks as may be required from time to time
TRAINING AND SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
Specific technical knowledge (troubleshooting, maintenance, some programming) of boilers, air compressors, conveyors, motors, and bearings.
Strong troubleshooting skills in Electrical and Mechanical maintenance.
Strong desire to work "hands-on".
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Minimum 5 years' experience in a supervisor role in a manufacturing facility, food manufacturing preferred.
