Engineering Manager 1
Organization & RoleA high-performing individual to provide hands-on leadership to the Platform Engineering team, and to be a key individual in the areas of product development. The individual will possess a broad range of Semiconductor design and development skills and experience, a record of leading teams from product concept through validation and into manufacturing, as well as in-depth knowledge in several products and technical areas. Opportunity Overview of Role’s Responsibilities -This position will have a crucial role in ensuring design process implementation in the different design stages and ensure high-quality output. -Plays a key role in meeting or exceeding division goals.-Leads staff, internal and external resources to produce prototype devices and components for testing and evaluation of designs.-Participates in brainstorming and design reviews. Maintains standards of excellence in all product development processes.-Participates in the sponsor reviews activities to ensure the completion of projects on schedule and within budget constraints.-Intervenes and contributes to successful resolution of technical issues when they arise.-Ensures that all direct reports are properly accounted in the APP and any offline upcoming work.-This individual will also play a key role in mentoring less-experienced employees, drive change and must be self-motivated.-When required manages large product development projects. Prepares project plans that define phases, tasks, durations, resource assignments, and costs.-Proactively communicates assignments to responsible individuals, ensures that tasks are completed within the planned time, and reports project status to the project's client company.-Ensures that all work satisfies the requirements of the company's phase gate, with particular emphasis on Design quality.-Supervises product development staff. Minimum Qualifications & Skills -Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.-Must be an expert in multiple technical areas and possess a depth of knowledge in one or more semiconductor areas.-Demonstrated ability to successfully bring products from concept to market.-5+ years of management experience-Minimum of 10 years of experience in: Semiconductor product design and development experience. CAD Tools SolidWorks Ansys. Tolerance Loops FEA / Ansys A successful candidate will have proven experience demonstrating the following skills and behavioral traits: -Ability to interface effectively at all levels of the organization, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.-Must have expert-level conceptual, analytical, and critical thinking skills.-Flexibility, persistence, resourcefulness, a drive to succeed.-Ability to recruit and retain high-caliber staff.
