Job Description

I am currently partnering with an established offshore wind developer. They are seeking an Engineering Manager within the offshore business unit. The business is driving the transformation of the energy sector towards a net zero future.

The business has an exciting portfolio in the pipeline, currently developing floating and fixed-foundation offshore wind projects.

They are looking for an Engineering Manager to:

• Take a leading senior role in the Project Team, responsible for all engineering aspects related to the development of offshore wind farms. This involves overseeing the technical aspects of the project.
• Act as the key interface between the projects and the Engineering and Construction teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
• Collaborate effectively with other project team members, particularly Consenting leads, Supply Chain Manager, and Communications Team.
• Establish a project design basis and manage its validation through comprehensive data collection, reducing uncertainty in site conditions and design risk.

Essential Experience:

• A degree in a relevant Engineering discipline is required, providing a strong technical foundation, especially in understanding interfaces in large EPC(I) projects
• The candidate should have 7 or more years of experience in a relevant or similar field of work. This might include experience in complex EPC(I) construction projects or large infrastructure projects, with a preference for direct experience in the development of offshore wind projects.
• Experience from Project Inception to FID
• Demonstrable experience in leading, motivating, and managing teams of engineers and external consultants is required, indicating the need for strong leadership and team management abilities.
