Job DescriptionPrimary responsibility of the Engineering Manager is to ensure all the engineering systems of the building are in the highest operating condition, all the engineering requests are attended, and maintenance of all the equipment is carried out and kept operational.Reporting to the Director of Engineering, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: Demonstrate Fairmont’s brand service standards in all interactionsEnsure that Colleagues working in the team follow the Fairmont standardsEnsure all requests are attended within minimum time period and resolved to highest qualityEnsure all the required documentation are completedAny inspection from government, DM, CDA, DEWA etc are coordinated and answer to queries to the satisfaction of authoritiesCoordinate with all the Engineering contractors to carry out their workEnsure Engineering store is correctly maintained and parts stock levels maintainedSupervise strict adherence to safety rules by all colleagues at all timesConduct departmental training and ensure training program and records are up to dateFollow Occupational Health & Safety regulationsEnsure adherence to Fairmont’s Code of Ethics brandQualificationsMinimum of 2 years of Technical education training certificate or Diploma in any relevant tradeMinimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in any 5 star hotel engineering operation3 years hands-on experience working in respective tradePrevious Hotel experience an assetExperience Working in the UAE is an assetMust be flexible in terms of working hoursA self-starter, take initiative, can make decisions in fast-paced & changing environmentComputer literacy in Windows, MS Office Suite, and OPERA, BMS systems is recommendedResponsible & reliableAbility to focus attention on Guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all timesAdditional InformationOur commitment to Diversity & Inclusion:We are an inclusive company, and our ambition is to attract, recruit and promote diverse talent.
