YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES AS AN ENGINEERING MANAGER: * Guide and support team members, foster professional growth, and encourage a culture of continuous innovation. * Oversee projects, lead the team through every stage of development, ensure projects are well defined, on track, and consistently meet customer needs. * Implement thorough testing processes to maintain high standards and achieve excellence in product delivery. * Effectively communicate and collaborate closely with customer-facing and operations teams, facilitating seamless transitions from product design to production while ensuring all requirements are met. * Proactively improve processes by identifying opportunities to enhance team efficiency through implementation of better processes, methodologies, and tools; stay informed and abreast of new tools and industry trends to ensure your team remains competitive and at the forefront of innovation. * Simultaneously prioritize, manage, and strategically modify project tasks. * Oversee budget planning, resource management, performance evaluations, team development and compensation; foster a positive team culture that values excellence, innovation, and continuous learning. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR IN AN ENGINEERING MANAGER: * Engineering College Diploma or University Degree * 5+ years of proven experience in an engineering design role, showcasing proficiency and leadership skills in managing multidisciplinary teams * Expertise in software development (C/C++ programming, embedded hardware design, experience with detailed PCB layouts, and FreeRTOS) * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, coupled with robust critical thinking, technical excellence, and a high level of accountability * Data-driven decision-making and a proactive approach to problem-solving * Project management experience is considered an asset. * Exceptional interpersonal skills, including providing constructive feedback, fostering a no-ego culture, communicating effectively, and establishing trust.
