Engineering Manager

Ventia commenced operations of our contract with the Royal North Shore Hospital as part of the InfraShore consortium, providing core facilities, engineering, and maintenance services to over 217,000m2 of hospital space.  Due to internal promotion, we’re seeking an experienced Workshop Manager to lead and manage a team through the daily reactive maintenance requests from the contract. About the role: Manage all work performed by the maintenance staff and sub-contractors to ensure works are carried out safely and completed to high quality. Review preventative maintenance schedules to ensure appropriate works are being allocated and identify new opportunities to undertake additional preventative maintenance works. Manage a team roster to ensure the 24/7 operation of the hospital has appropriate coverage of staff. Ensure safe and efficient operation of the business through proactive management of the employees, procedures, and processes. Advocate safety first as the culture in the way to conduct daily tasks. About You: Engineering or trade qualification is highly regarded or if you have a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering background. Previous people management experience is required. Effective communication skills to build relationships with the hospital staff, sub-contractors and the Ventia team. Be technologically savvy and comfortable using different software and systems.
