About the Role

As an Engineering Manager, you’ll lead a team of talented engineers in designing, building, and scaling the company’s core platform. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll set technical direction, mentor engineers, and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver robust, scalable fintech solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture.
  • Own and drive technical initiatives, architecture decisions, and best practices to scale the fintech platform.
  • Collaborate with product, design, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality, user-centric solutions.
  • Hire, develop, and retain top engineering talent as the company scales.
  • Balance hands-on coding (as needed) with strategic leadership.
  • Implement best practices for software development, including CI/CD, security, and performance optimization.
  • Ensure the team delivers on critical projects in a fast-moving startup environment.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years in an engineering leadership or management role.
  • Strong background in backend or full-stack development (experience with Python, Go, TypeScript, Next.js, or similar is a plus).
  • Experience in a fintech, payments, or financial services startup is strongly .
  • Proven ability to scale engineering teams and build high-quality, scalable systems.
  • Strong communication skills and a passion for mentoring engineers.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and modern DevOps practices.
  • A hands-on approach with the ability to dive into technical challenges when needed.
