The Company\nA UK leading electronic manufacturer is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join the growing team.\n\nThe Role\nPrimary focus will at all times be upon ensuring that the Engineering function produces service levels capable of achieving timely delivery and complete customer satisfaction in every facet of the manufacturing & commercial commitments.\nA key aspect of the role will be to support the creation of an environment of continual improvement, enabling quantifiable and sustainable change, whilst focusing on adding value and removing waste to increase customer satisfaction and profitability.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nManagement of the Engineering Team – either via the Business Units or as an individual function following a strategic review of the engineering structure.\n\nTake ownership of the engineering processes and procedures documentation and review to ensure this meets the needs of the business, demonstrates the best in the industry and properly aligns with the business systems.\n\nDevelop a process for the continuous improvement of the documentation and take ownership of revision control.\n\nEnsure the engineering focus is on delivering the right first-time documentation to production.\n\nResponsible for the New Product Introduction process and ensuring that new products are successfully onboarded as such that they can be classified as “Green” jobs.\n\nEnsure engineering is properly supporting production through builds by taking cradle-to-grave ownership for new products being launched in the factory.\n\nAnalyse quote to actual times and suggest ways to optimise processes to improve quality and time targets whilst ensuring safe manufacturing processes.\n\nResponsible for the Technology roadmap for the business and working with stakeholders to ensure this meets the current and future needs of the business.\n\nResponsible for robotics and automation strategy.\n\nDevelop training plans for the current engineering team\n\nProcess information to enable the of quotations for assembly of IPC610 class 3 electronic assemblies.\n\nFully utilise BOM Management software.\n\nEnsure quality principles and standards can be applied and are adhered to throughout the manufacturing process.\n\nThe Candidate\nExperienced as an Engineering Manager in an electronic manufacturing environment\nExtensive experience working in electronic manufacturing\nExperience in reviewing and optimising engineering processes and procedures.\nSkilled in overseeing NPI processes.\nProven ability to manage multiple engineering projects from concept to production.\nExperience in developing training plans for engineering teams\nAble to produce accurate BOM’s from customer’s documentation\nExperience in developing and maintaining engineering documentation.\nKnowledge of implementing automation and robotics solutions to improve manufacturing processes.\n\nThe Package\nThe salary offered for this position is £50,000- £60,000 to candidates who can meet all key qualifications and abilities.\n\nWe operate & advertise as an Employment Agency for permanent positions and as an Employment Business for contract/temporary positions
