Our client, an International Engineering consulting firm is currently expanding their operations in Accra, Ghana and are looking for an Engineering Manager to join their growing team. This organization is responsible for developing engineering blueprints for the mining sector in West Africa and also handles the tailing waste management sector. This role will be based at the head office in Accra, GhanaJob DescriptionReporting to the Managing Director, You are required to carry out the below responsibilities: Responsible for overseeing all mining engineering designs for existing and upcoming projectsWriting effective engineering proposals, along with technical analysis reportsYou are responsible for managing and preparing proposals documents based on the client’s budget, time & scheduled requirementsSupervising a combined team of engineers & drafting technicians for each mining projectManage technical documents, design calculations and implement safety policiesYou are required to carry out Engineering records duties on site projects, and must be present on site for each Mining projectYou are the main point of contact between the client and the organization and you are accountable for all the project budgets and quality standards The Successful Applicant You bring years of working experience as an Engineering manager who is managing engineering projects within the gold mine sector for West AfricaCertified Professional Engineer & an active member of a recognized engineering institutionPrevious educational background in geotechnical or Civil Engineering is preferredWorking experience in developing engineering designs and proposals for gold mining & tailing waste storage facilitiesWorking knowledge of Open pit and underground mining is a bonusSelf-motivated individual, who also brings strong leadership skillsFluency in English is requiredMust be willing to relocate to Accra, Ghana
