Engineering Manager – Interior Automotive Products

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Engineering Manager to lead the development and execution of innovative interior automotive products. In this role, you will oversee the design, engineering, and manufacturing processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality, functional, and aesthetically appealing interior components. You will collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to drive product excellence while meeting safety, performance, and cost objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Team Management:

    • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers and designers, fostering collaboration and innovation.
    • Allocate resources effectively to meet project milestones and timelines.
    • Drive a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the team.
  • Product Development:

    • Oversee the design, development, and validation of interior automotive components such as dashboards, seating, trim panels, and console systems.
    • Ensure products meet or exceed performance, safety, and regulatory standards.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, quality, and manufacturing, to optimize product development.
  • Project Management:

    • Define project objectives, schedules, and budgets, ensuring alignment with company goals.
    • Monitor and report on project progress, addressing risks and implementing corrective actions as needed.
    • Coordinate with suppliers and partners to meet project requirements.
  • Innovation and Problem-Solving:

    • Drive innovative solutions for interior systems to enhance functionality, user experience, and cost efficiency.
    • Troubleshoot technical challenges and provide leadership in resolving complex engineering issues.
  • Stakeholder Communication:

    • Serve as the primary engineering contact for internal and external stakeholders.
    • Present project updates, technical insights, and design reviews to leadership and clients.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in engineering leadership, ideally within the automotive interior products sector.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive interior materials, manufacturing processes, and design principles.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and engineering tools for design and analysis.
  • Excellent project management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with automotive industry standards and regulatory requirements.
