Engineering Mechanic
Overview:
Responsibilities
Maintain all mechanical systems as required to ensure proper operation for cooling and heating.
Experienced in the overall installation and repair of package units and split systems.
Assist the Chief Engineer and Assistant Chief Engineer in maintenance and upkeep of the NYSE cooling plant, primarily regarding the HVAC and plumbing systems.
Maintain sprinkler and standpipe systems along with the fire detection system.
Ensure optimum operating condition of all pumps, compressors and auxiliary equipment.
Maintain a consistent flow rate of the chilled and condenser water supply throughout the facilities.
Must be able to correct and/or contain mechanical and electrical malfunctions that might occur throughout the building.
Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned, such as bathroom calls and hot and cold calls.
Maintain the spare parts inventory of all air handler units and associated mechanical equipment.
Maintain cleanliness of all MER’s and storage areas, including painting.
Must be a self-starter, eager to learn, and a well-rounded team player.
Must be able to work overtime, especially on Saturdays.
Knowledge and Experience
College degree and or college courses .
Minimum 5 years’ experience as a mechanic in related fields, such as HVAC or plumbing.
Proficient in using hand tools and power tools.
Proficient communication skills.
Ability to perform daily duties in a safe and professional manner and work as approved by the OSHA safety standards and procedures.
Ability to work with, and lift 50lbs. Climbing of ship ladders, extension ladders, and working at heights in various weather conditions.
Must be able to crawl and work in small, confined spaces for extended periods of time.
The ability to use your abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously over time without 'giving out' or fatiguing.
The ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs.
Knowledge of basic electronics and computer knowledge and programs is a plus.

Schedule
This role is on-site in our Wall Street, NY office.
New York Base Salary Range
The expected base salary for this role if located in New York City is between 75,616 - 95,877 USD. The base salary range does not include Intercontinental Exchange’s incentive compensation. While we provide this range as general guidance, at ICE we compensate employees based on the skillset and experience of the individual.
