Job Overview:

GreenWorks is seeking experienced Licensed Engineers to join our team as Engineering Partners on a 1099 independent contractor basis. This role is ideal for motivated professionals who want the flexibility of contract work while leveraging their expertise in structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, or forensic engineering. As an Engineering Partner, you will provide expert assessments, inspections, and reports for various projects across Dallas, Austin, Houston, and San Antonio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct structural, mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering assessments for residential and commercial properties.
  • Provide forensic engineering evaluations related to foundation issues, storm damage, and structural failures.
  • Review construction plans, blueprints, and inspection reports for code compliance and safety.
  • Generate detailed engineering reports with professional recommendations.
  • Collaborate with inspectors, architects, contractors, and city officials on engineering-related concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and building codes (IRC, IBC, ASCE, NEC, etc.).
  • Conduct on-site inspections and provide expert opinions for litigation or insurance claims when needed.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Texas (Required).
  • Specialization in structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, or forensic engineering .
  • Experience in building inspections, code compliance, and forensic assessments.
  • Strong understanding of Texas building codes, permitting processes, and engineering best practices.
  • Ability to work independently with excellent time management and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in report writing and engineering software.
  • Reliable transportation for travel to job sites within the assigned region.
  • Must have liability insurance as an independent contractor.
  • Ability to pass a background check (if required by clients).

Compensation & Benefits:
