Role Overview
- Support the Engineering Project Manager (EPM) in defining and developing discipline scope by understanding and evaluating project requirements.
- Ensure the project team is aware of project requirements and specifications, delivering designs that meet project needs, corporate standards, and industry regulations.
- Collaborate with EPM and Discipline Leads to prepare the engineering schedule and manpower planning, ensuring alignment with overall project milestones.
- Develop the scope of work for subcontractors and ensure effective interface management.
- Assist in resolving discipline issues between relevant Discipline Leads and stakeholders in Construction, Procurement, and Project Controls.
- Establish and maintain close working relationships with EPM, Project Management Team, Operations, Procurement, Construction, and Clients.
- Monitor all interfaces with Class Society/other regulatory bodies to ensure timely review of requirements.
- Assist in preparing project close-out documentation including as-built documentation and engineering close-out reports.
- Track and coordinate changes with Discipline Leads, ensuring adherence to the management of change process.
- Proactively identify areas likely to change to minimize added costs and delays.
- Ensure engineering deliverables meet required quality and safety standards through regular reviews and checks.
Skills & Qualifications
- Project Engineering: Strong understanding of project requirements and specifications.
- Design Engineering: Ability to deliver designs that meet corporate standards and industry regulations.
- Schedule Management: Proficient in preparing engineering schedules and manpower planning.
- Interface Management: Experience in managing interfaces with subcontractors and regulatory bodies.
- Change Management: Skilled in tracking changes and coordinating with various stakeholders.
- Quality Assurance: Knowledge of quality control processes to ensure deliverables meet safety standards.
Education & Experience
- Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
- Certifications: Relevant engineering certifications are a plus.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in project engineering or related roles.
