It's fun to work in a company where people truly BELIEVE in what they're doing!Description We’re expanding our Laser engineering team in Thailand and seek an energetic engineer to work in a fast paced, international development environment with direct interaction across the Electrical, Optical and Mechanical engineering teams. In this position you will take on challenges in areas that include:• Work within cross-functional international teams to review engineering change requests• Create Bill of Materials, production files and work instructions• Collaborate with the process engineering and manufacturing teams for device testing, measurements, and system validation.Key Responsibilities: • Review change requests from manufacturing teams with respect to PQM requirements, adherence to known best practices• Interact with product design and development personnel to ensure that processes and designs are compatible & follow the defined PDP procedures• Recommend and implements equipment and process modifications to improve production efficiencies, manufacturing techniques and production yields for existing products.• Develop and conducts statistical analysis such as Design of Experiments (DOE) and Statistical Process Control (SPC) targeting physical cause of failure for yield loss and improving quality.• Provide technical and sustaining engineering support in a manufacturing area.Requirements The ideal candidate for this position should have • Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal English• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and engineering team members.• Flexibility in work hours to support either early morning or evening conference calls In addition, the candidate should be proficient in any of the following fields1. Design of jigs/fixtures using Solidworks, prepare part and assembly drawings. Knowledge of and ability to apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GDT) practices, perform complex tolerance analysis2. Possess knowledge of mounting and alignment techniques applied in the construction of commercial free-space optical assemblies and electro-optical systems.3. Understanding of electronics schematics and ability to debug using standard tools such as multimeters and oscilloscopes 4. Failure analysis, ability to conduct scientific experiments and analyze the results
