WWC Engineering Interns assists engineers, surveyors, geologists, and other professional and technical staff with a multitude of project work including engineering design, environmental design and compliance, surveying, site investigations, research, regulatory compliance, and technical writing in support of various projects. Position also assists in general administrative duties assigned to them.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist engineering, surveying, and other staff members with daily duties on an as needed basis
  • Perform preliminary designs and calculations as directed by the Project Manager
  • Research and effectively summarize design concepts, regulations, and other requested information.
  • Prepare documentation of work completed and report to the Project Manager
  • Assist with and collect field data including, but not limited to, survey, soil and water sampling, field notes, and photo documentation
  • Assist in the development of design and technical reports in support of project completion. *Performs all other duties and tasks assigned by the Project Manager

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Attending a two-year or four-year college and studying in the field of civil, environmental, or transportation engineering, surveying, computer-aided drafting, environmental sciences, or related fields
