Our client is a large, international company that provides equipment and tools used in semiconductor and flat panel screen manufacturing. They have several of their tools located at customer sites around San Jose and they are looking to hire an Engineering / Field Service Tech II to help support these tools. ENGINEERING / FIELD SERVICE TECH JOB DESCRIPTION

• Install, calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot and repair precision tools used in semiconductor and flat panel screen manufacturing
• Monitor, inspect and perform preventative maintenance on semiconductor equipment to maximize tool up time for the customer
• Communicate and escalate advanced repairs to senior level technicians, and provide basic instructions to customers
• Monitor and maintain supplies of service parts and equipment required for effective repair / maintenance of equipment
• Position will require up to 10% travel plus occasional travel between customer sites near San Jose
• Normal work week will be 35 hours but there will be some weeks that require 40+ hours, including occasional compressed work weeks (3 days on, 4 days off / 4 days on, 3 days off)
• The Engineering / Field Service Tech I position pays $65K plus occasional overtime

ENGINEERING / FIELD SERVICE TECH JOB REQUIREMENTS

• 0-2 years relevant experience (electromechanical assembly, repair, maintenance, etc.), along with Associate’s degree or equivalent is required, Bachelor’s degree is preferred
• Previous experience with semiconductor manufacturing or clean rooms is preferred but not required
• Must be willing and able to travel up to 10% plus travel as needed between customer sites near San Jose; valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record is required
• Must be willing to work compressed work weeks as needed, as well as occasional overtime
• Strong communication skills and experience in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
