Candidate will provide Instrumentation and controls engineering services to support planning, design, construction, and commissioning of water and wastewater facilities. Candidate should have an interest in industrial control systems design including P&ID development, water/wastewater instrumentation, industrial control system network architecture, PLC and SCADA system specifications, and related activities.
Candidate will serve as an I&C engineer and designer on projects for water and wastewater facilities.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), control system network diagrams, control panel wiring diagrams, equipment layouts, I&C system specifications, and installation details.
- Coordinating with the other disciplines (process/mechanical, structural, architectural, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and site civil).
- Inspection, testing, and approval of I&C work provided by contractors at water and wastewater facilities.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Experience with AutoCAD and/or Auto CAD Plant 3D software or be willing to learn.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products is required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
- Knowledge of water/wastewater or industrial process instrumentation and equipment is desirable.
- Prior working experience or in the water and wastewater industry is highly desirable.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) Certificate, or ability to obtain within 1 year is desirable.
- 0-5 years of experience.
