Environmental Advisor - Rail

Award-winning, market-leading engineering organisation, multi-disciplinary experts in sectors including rail, telecoms and power distribution, require an Environmental Advisor for their rail division.



The role:



* Give environmental advice to colleagues within the business



* Assist / carry out investigations for any on-site environmental incidents



* Conduct site inspections



* Arrange, review and carry out environmental desktop surveys, walkabouts and site surveys in order to support Environmental and Social Appraisal ESA/ESMP development



* Arrange Preliminary Environmental Appraisals (PEA's), which will support ESA/ESMP production



* Head up the production of ESA/ESMP's for projects



* Produce mitigation plans and reports based on surveys carried out, including Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)



* Review environmental surveys and share results / findings with colleagues



* Support with the implementation of environmental schemes



* Ensure compliance with ISO4001 by helping to maintain the integrated management system



* Produce reports on matters related to sustainability, CSR and environmental for regulatory bodies



* Assist with environmental audits and accreditations



* Support provision and delivery of environmental training and briefings



* Assist with protected species licences and liaise with Natural England



* Assess and update Environmental Awareness and Impact Register



Requirements:



* Experience as an Environmental Advisor, ideally within the rail sector



* PTS



* IEMA



* Strong knowledge of environmental best practice and legislation



* Driving licence
