Environmental Control Technician
(2 Openings)
1st Shift, 9:00AM-5:30PM, Monday – Friday
1st Shift, 6:30AM-3:00PM, Monday-Friday
Hourly Rate: $20.00 - $30.00/hour DOE
Ability to work overtime during the week and Saturdays
This position may require the availability to work all three shifts to cover department vacations.

RESPONSIBILITY: Operate and maintain industrial water treatment equipment.
JOB DUTIES:
- Committed to ensuring the achievement of continuous improvement within area of expertise, as well as areas of business in order to remain at the forefront of meeting Company objectives, thus proactively satisfying customers.
- This position mandates that all required safety classes, trainings, and certifications be completed and maintained within the specific position/department.
- Is aware of relevance and importance of their activities and how they contribute to the achievement of the quality objectives.
- This position requires an employee to work their regularly scheduled shift, the ability to work overtime and weekends.
- Must be aware of and comply with related IATF/ISO procedures, as applicable.
- Must meet qualitative and quantitative standards for the position and department.
- Demonstrate the proper utilization of treatment chemicals following all safety measures.
- Run metal bearing batch treatment loads.
- Operate and maintain:
- AA unit.
- Treatment pumps.
- Metal bearing filter press.
- Sludge dryer.
- D.I. unit.
- Industrial Water Treatment System.
- Ultra-filtration water treatment system.
- Various waste treatment related records.
- Demonstrates the ability to properly operate equipment such as plating process filtration, auxiliary filtration, ion exchange equipment, etc. and understands the importance of ensuring all valve positions are in their proper position before running said equipment.
- Is a Hazardous Materials Response Team Member.
- Operator is required to work with hazardous materials and hazardous waste. Must be successful in passing pulmonary function type physical per standard 1910.134 as it relates to using a respirator. Waste Treatment Operator must be able to wear respiratory protection as required.

Requirements:
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and orally.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED). ▪ Minimum one (1) year experience .
- Science background helpful.
- Works as a team player, helping to meet departmental and Company goals and objectives.
- Must be able to fulfill essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.
- Must successfully complete a 24-hour HAZMAT technician training that includes hazardous waste operation and emergency response. Once trained, must possess and maintain an ongoing basic knowledge of hazardous waste operations and how it applies to the Company's needs.
