Environmental Engineer/Scientist - Industrial Monitoring Products and Services

Clean Air Engineering (CleanAir) is a leading global environmental engineering and consulting company that has been in business since 1972. CleanAir’s Advanced Monitoring Services team located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Palatine, Illinois has an immediate opening for a full-time, entry-level Application Engineer/Scientist to help grow its ambient air and industrial monitoring products and services business.

CleanAir is looking for a motivated Engineer/Scientist with just this kind of mindset, who wants to make a difference and can help our clients achieve their environmental goals by applying cutting-edge measurement technologies. The candidate must have a degree in Engineering, Science, or Science-Related Field and will work closely with Project Managers in implementing certain project tasks. The candidate will perform as a member of a multidisciplinary team of engineers and scientists in a flexible work environment.

The position will involve the following key responsibilities:

  • Aid in installation, operation, and quality assurance of next-generation industrial emissions monitoring systems, or network of systems
  • Data analysis, interpretation, and reporting
  • Participation in the development of new products and services
  • Client engagement to identify new opportunities

· The candidate will work closely with Project Managers in implementing project task

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, or Science-Related Field
  • 0-5 years of experience
  • Mechanical aptitude and curiosity to tinker
  • Effective written and verbal skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Willingness to travel to project locations in the US and globally
