Environmental Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Environmental Engineer to join the ES team on one of our client sites. The successful candidate will lead various environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives, ensuring our site meets all regulatory requirements and promotes sustainable practices. This role involves coordination with multiple stakeholders, including reliability engineers, maintenance planners, service vendors, and regulatory bodies such as the EPA. The Environmental Engineer will also play a crucial role in managing site waste and greenhouse gas emissions. Responsibilities Environmental Compliance Coordination: Lead the management and coordination of site bund testing and visual inspections. Lead the management and coordination of inspections and testing of underground lines (foul, process, and storm water). Management of contractors and subcontractors environmental compliance. Greenhouse Gas Management: Oversee refrigerant/F-gas management, maintaining and updating the F-gas register. Site Waste Management: Oversee site waste management, including review and approval of new waste outlets and minimization of solid waste streams. Support onsite supervision of waste management contracts. Lead Green Transport Initiatives Take active role in the Environmental Technical Committee and the site Sustainability Team. Support the implementation and maintenance of Environmental Management Systems: Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or a related field. Minimum of 4 years of experience in environmental engineering or compliance roles. Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance standards. Excellent project management and organizational skills. Effective communication and leadership abilities. Experience working with regulatory bodies, such as the EPA, is preferred.
