EHS Manager

Location: Franklin ,Ma

Salary: 90-110k

Position Summary:
The EHS Manager will ensure a safe working environment by leading and managing all aspects of environmental health and safety at the facility. This role involves compliance with OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations, overseeing wastewater and hazardous waste management programs, and facilitating employee training. The EHS Manager will act as the primary point of contact for all Federal and State site inspections and will collaborate with government regulators and customers on sustainability issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, SWPPP, SPCC, and RCRA guidelines.
  • Submit required annual reports, including Tier II submissions, MACT, Title V air permitting, and storage tank inspections.
  • Manage chemical reporting under TIER II, SARA 313, TURA, and other local community requirements.
  • Provide employee training in accordance with OSHA, EPA, and DOT requirements.
  • Oversee the Safety Program and actively participate in the Plant Safety Committee.
  • Investigate workplace accidents to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
  • Manage and maintain the MSDS program and stormwater permitting compliance.
  • Conduct Job Safety Analysis for new equipment and process changes.
  • Prepare and update environmental and safety policies and procedure manuals.
  • Serve as the lead point of contact for Federal and State inspections.
  • Identify and mitigate critical safety risks, such as machine guarding and electrical safety.
  • Maintain training documentation in the database and ensure up-to-date compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment; GMP experience .
  • Certifications such as PE, CIH, CSP, CHMM, QEP are highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of Federal and State environmental and safety regulations.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, direct, and influence team members.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing EHS systems and programs with a successful track record.
  • Strong analytical, communication (verbal/written), and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • OSHA 30-hour certification is a plus.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

  • Primarily office-based role, involving prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Fine motor skills required for typing and using office equipment.
