The Opportunity
Are you an experienced Environmental Health and Safety professional looking to take the next step in your career? This is an exciting opportunity to lead and enhance health, safety, and environmental practices at a well-established organisation.
You'll play a pivotal role in fostering a strong safety-first culture, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Develop, implement, and oversee Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies.
Promote a proactive, safety-focused culture across all teams and departments.
Ensure compliance with HSE legislation and champion continuous improvement initiatives.
Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify and address potential risks.
Lead training, toolbox talks, and employee inductions to improve awareness and understanding.
Provide guidance to teams on safe systems of work and handle HSE-related queries.
Report on safety performance, identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement.
Collaborate with senior leaders to deliver on strategic HSE objectives.
What You'll Need
NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) and other relevant H&S qualifications.
Experience in construction, manufacturing, or engineering environments.
Proven knowledge of ISO9001 & ISO14001 implementation (desirable).
Strong communication, leadership, and influencing skills.
A full driving license.
Proficiency in IT systems, report writing, and presentation delivery.
A proactive attitude with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
