Environmental Health Officer

ABOUT THE COMPANY.    This Local Council is actively seeking a highly motivated Environmental Health Officer who possesses a strong level of autonomy for an initial of 3 month contract with potential to be ongoing.        ABOUT THE POSITION.    As an EHO, you will be reporting to the Team Leader. You will be responsible for various tasks, including assisting the with inspections and investigations to ensure compliance with the full range of public and environmental health standards, liaising with different stakeholders, and resolving public health and environmental issues.       DUTIES. Carry out inspections at various locations  Respond to inquiries and provide safety advice to stakeholders Coordinate and issue infringement notices when necessary Assess DAs to ensure compliance with regulations    SKILLS & EXPERIENCE. Bachelor of Natural Science (Environmental Health) or equivalent Current Class C Drivers Licence Experience in enforcement and/or litigation of environmental health legislation Demonstrated experience in Local Councils is preferred    CULTURE.
