Environmental Manager
Location: New Brunswick, New Jersey
About Us:
CMI is expanding! We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Environmental Manager to join our dynamic team. If you are passionate about environmental compliance and sustainability, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities:

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure company adherence to all relevant environmental regulations and permits.

Environmental Sampling and Monitoring: Oversee sampling, monitoring, and analysis programs.

Data Management and Reporting: Compile, interpret, and submit regulatory reports accurately and on time.

Site Investigation and Remediation: Manage environmental site assessments, corrective actions, and remediation projects.

Environmental & HazMat Program Management: Lead hazardous materials management, waste reduction, and environmental risk mitigation efforts.

Audits and Inspections: Conduct internal audits and inspections, ensuring continuous compliance and readiness for external reviews.
Requirements and Experience:

Minimum of 5+ years of experience in an Environmental Manager role.

Industry experience within the chemical, food, or fragrance sectors.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proven ability to lead and mentor a team.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines.
Education and Credentials:

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Engineering, or a related field .

Professional certification such as CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager) is highly desirable.
Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods.

Capable of climbing ladders, stooping, crawling, and bending.

Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
Other Requirements:

Successful completion of a background check and potential drug screening.

Availability for overtime and flexible working hours as needed.

Residence within a reasonable commuting distance from the work site.
