Environmental Officer

Job Description Our client is seeking an experienced Environmental Officer to join their team in Cork. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and promoting environmental protection in our organization. Responsibilities:Develop and implement environmental policies and procedures for the organization to follow. Monitor and assess environmental risks and impacts of our operations and propose solutions to minimize negative impacts.Conduct environmental audits and inspections to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.Provide training and guidance to staff and management on environmental issues.Coordinate with regulatory agencies and stakeholders to address environmental concerns and develop solutions.Develop and implement waste reduction and recycling programs.Conduct research on environmental issues and propose new initiatives to promote sustainability.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in environmental science or a related field.1-2 years of experience as an environmental officer. Familiarity with environmental regulations and legislation. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.This role is a 1 year Fixed Term Contract.
