Environmental Project Manager
Description :Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Environmental Project Manager to join our team! In this role you will get to manage environmental site assessments, as well as remediation projects of varying size and complexity, which would include supervision of junior professional staff and technical staff involved in the field investigations, budget control, client liaison and report preparation and review.What You'll Be Doing:Management of inter-disciplinary teams of professionals and supporting labor categories.Provide technical leadership in the design and project management of contaminated sites and remediation projects, including investigations, remediation design and management.Coordination and oversight of Phase I, II and III Environmental Site Assessments.Remedial design and site remediation oversight, including: excavations, ISCO, bioremediation, permeable and impermeable barriers and mechanical technologies (air sparge, pump and treat, dual phase extraction, etc.), sediment remediation, mine closures.Peer review of technical documents and reports.Support business development activities, including proposal preparation on major and minor pursuits.Project management and coordination:ESA and remediation-related projectsTracking and maintaining budgets and project financesPreparing reportsMaintain client relationships in various industriesLiaise with and support other engineering disciplines.May participate in negotiations with regulatory agencies and in public meetings in support of clients.What Required Skills You'll Bring:Degree in earth or environmental sciences, environmental/chemical/geological engineering or similar program.5+ years of consulting experience in the environmental industry with strong experience in the applicable federal and provincial environmental laws and regulations within a Canadian (preferably Alberta or Saskatchewan) jurisdiction.2+ years of experience managing contaminated sites projects with consulting values over $100K and/or as a project manager or a technical designer.Technically strong with advanced knowledge of environmental site assessments and various remediation approaches.Experience working with diverse multidisciplinary and/or international project teams.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Financially literate, with direct experience managing project budgets.Track record of delivering high quality work products.Direct experience working at downstream and/or upstream oil and gas sites is preferred.Professional designation (or the ability to obtain one) as a professional geologist, engineer, biologist or agrologist in Alberta and/or Saskatchewan is preferred.Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook), PowerPoint, EQuIS and ArcGIS.Minimum Clearance Required to Start:Not Applicable/NoneThis position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team.For more than 75 years, our experts have designed and delivered the critical infrastructure that connects and protects communities around the world.
