ENVIRONMENTAL SPECIALIST

Financial & Realty Services, LLC dba FRS Professional Services, LLC (FRS), is recruiting for an Environmental Specialist to support our federal government client in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities:

• Performs research of environmental laws and regulations that impact Federal real property asset management, utilization and disposition; analyzes real property data and activities conducted on the property to determine environmental compliance, perform Environmental Assessments (EA), develop Environmental Impact Statements (EIS) under the Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), conducts or reviews environmental risk assessments and property condition surveys.
• Assists program/project managers and realty specialists in developing strategies to mitigate problems and issues posed by environmentally-challenged properties.

Education/Experience Requirements:

• Graduate or bachelor’s degree in environmental science or related field plus 5 years of relevant experience; or
• Graduate of bachelor’s degree in relevant science field (i.e., geology, chemistry) plus 5 years of relevant experience
• Ability to pass a background check
