Maintenance Technician
The equipment technician designs, enhances and maintains various electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical devices. The job includes researching, testing and overseeing the equipment performance, as well as performing extensive and complex repairs/maintenance of existing equipment.
Education, Knowledge, Working Experience:
· An AS or BS degree in engineering or equivalent work experience.
· Experience in industrial controls technology with the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex electronic systems without supervision.
· High degree of mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair various mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems used in production machinery.
Responsibilities:
· Work with management to develop equipment specifications for next products.
· Work with Specialists to design and develop new equipment and fixtures.
· Test and approve new equipment before handing off to production. Provide technical assistance in installation and maintenance of company equipment.
· Develop cost-reduction initiatives while still maintaining quality and productivity.
· Develop improvements to enhance equipment reliability and scalability. Monitor equipment performance and suggest improvements. Perform equipment upgrades as per company requirements.
· Analyze equipment malfunctions and failures and accordingly develop corrective actions.
· Develop preventive maintenance procedures to reduce equipment failures. Provide full support for troubleshooting equipment.
· Provide job assistance and conduct job trainings for employees as needed.
· Maintain documentations for equipment installation, maintenance and troubleshooting procedures for reference purposes.
· Act as primary contact for equipment performance related questions and concerns.
