Estate Planning Paralegal

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionStein Law is seeking a skilled and motivated paralegal with a minimum of 2-3 years recent experience in estate planning and estate administration. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of estate planning concepts, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Our Company:Stein Law specializes in estates and trusts, corporations, tax controversy, and tax planning, with more than 40 years of combined experience assisting startups, entrepreneurs, and multi- family businesses with the formation and operation of their businesses, beginning with planning and entity selection designed to achieve our client’s short-term and long-term objectives.  We represent a variety of entity types operating throughout the world and their life cycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Make initial calls to clients to obtain relevant information to open their files.
  • Create new files and enter pertinent information into case management software.
  • Draft legal documents related to estate planning and corporate matters, including wills, trusts, IRS filings, entity formation documents, and ancillary documents.
  • Administer estates from filing probate petitions to final accountings and case closing.
  • Conduct legal research and gather relevant information to support casework.
  • Maintain and organize case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Directly communicate with clients to gather information, provide updates, and answer questions.
  • Schedule meetings, manage calendars, and assist with client correspondence when needed.
  • Prepare and file documents with state and federal agencies as required.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree or paralegal certificate from an accredited program, or demonstrated expertise through relevant work experience in the legal field
  • 2+ years of estate planning paralegal experience. Preferably corporate law experience is desirable but not required.
  • Strong knowledge of legal terminology, processes, and documentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.
