About Law Firm: Law firm provides exceptional service to its clients through a dynamic and supportive team environment. Currently seeking a skilled Estate Planning, Probate, and Trust Paralegal to join a busy practice, especially someone with experience in gift and estate tax returns.
Position Overview: Sonja Cotton & Associates is currently seeking an Estate Planning, Probate, and Trust Paralegal for a very busy practice within a law firm.  You will play a crucial role in supporting the firm’s attorneys and delivering outstanding client service. You will also work closely with the legal team to manage and execute tasks with precision and efficiency, making a significant impact on the firm’s practice while advancing your professional skills.
Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive support to attorneys in estate planning, probate, and trust matters.
• Prepare and assemble essential legal documents, including living trusts, last wills, deeds, and healthcare directives (e.g., Property Power of Attorney, Mental Health Care Power of Attorney, HIPAA Authorizations, and Living Wills).
• Draft and file gift and estate tax returns (experience in this area is ideal).
• Manage and prioritize multiple projects effectively.
• Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of paralegal experience in probate, trust, and estate planning law.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor’s Degree and/or Paralegal Certificate is .
• A proactive attitude with a strong desire to learn, develop skills, and serve clients' needs.
