Estimation Engineer - Civil
Job Description 1. Read and interpret correctly Tender Documents including conditions of contracts, specifications, drawings and preamble to Bill of Quantities and raise RFI to the Client if required. 2. Raise clarifications to the client/ consultants for any discrepancy or missing data in the tender documents. 3. Attend the site visit for a tender and submit report on findings to the Tendering Manager. 4. Extract the actual quantities from the tender drawings and compare them with those stated in the Bill of Quantities and report any discrepancies. 5. Raise enquiries for quotation for both local and overseas suppliers and subcontractors as required. 6. Prepare a compliance statement that would be part of the RFQ to the Suppliers/Subcontractors to make sure that they are complying with the drawings and specifications requirements. 7. Coordinate with the procurement department for requirements for new materials / sub-contractors and replying the suppliers’ clarifications. 8. Review the quotation received from the suppliers and subcontractors and prepare a comparison statement in order to select the most economic and compliance offer. 9. Provide full support for the preparation of technical submittals at the tender stage. 10. Cost Estimate by using the proper manual manpower crews considering the productivity rates for estimating the cost of Labor and Equipment. 11. Provide assistance to the planning section in understanding the rates used at the tender stage for the Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) 12. Assist in the pricing of the variation orders for the running projects. Requirements 1. Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering 2. 10+ years’ experience as Estimation Engineer 3. Technical knowledge with construction of Infrastructure (i.e. Potable water, Sewerage, storm water networks); 4. Enhanced knowledge of Candy CCS, MS office, Excel 5.
