Location: West Yorkshire

Salary: Up to £60k plus package

Grafton Recruitment is looking for an Estimator to join our client team in team in West Yorkshire.

The successful candidate will be responsible for estimating and bidding on a variety of projects ranging in value from £500k-£6m.

As an Estimator you will be working on traditional tenders, negotiated projects, cost planning and full turnkey projects from first concept to completion.

THE ROLE:

Some of your responsibilities as Estimator are listed below:

• Analysing bid documentation and client requirements to determine the most appropriate estimate approach.
• Working across different sectors include: industrial, commercial, education, retail, listed buildings and refurbishment.
• Preparing and submitting tender documents including bills of quantities, schedules of work, pricing documents and procurement schedules for different projects.
• Conducting cost analysis, preparing cost reports and identifying cost saving opportunities.
• Attending progress meetings throughout the project cycle, providing support and advice to the project team where appropriate.

THE CANDIDATE:

The ideal Estimator:

• Good understanding of construction processes and procedures across different sectors.
• Experience in estimating and bidding on different types of projects.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, able to build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Strong analytical skills, able to identify and evaluate complex problems and provide practical solutions
• Ability to work effectively under pressure, managing multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
• Strong IT skills
