Estimator - Joinery & POS As a Joinery and POS Estimator, you will be responsible for accurately assessing project requirements, preparing detailed cost estimates, and collaborating closely with our clients and internal teams to deliver exceptional joinery and POS solutions. Key Responsibilities: Analyze project drawings, specifications, and client requirements to understand joinery and POS needs. Collaborate with clients, architects, and internal stakeholders to develop tailored solutions that meet and exceed expectations. Perform precise take-offs and material quantity calculations to develop accurate cost estimates. Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing and timely delivery of materials and services. Prepare comprehensive and detailed quotes, including breakdowns of labor, materials, equipment, and project timelines. Attend client meetings and presentations to effectively communicate project proposals and address any queries or concerns. Continuously monitor project budgets, ensuring accuracy and cost control throughout each stage of the project. Collaborate closely with project managers and production teams to review plans, resolve discrepancies, and optimize project workflows. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, advancements, and best practices related to joinery and POS estimation. Contribute to process improvement initiatives to streamline estimation procedures and enhance overall efficiency. Requirements: Previous experience in joinery and POS estimation, preferably within the retail or construction industry. Proficiency in relevant estimation software and tools, along with excellent mathematical and analytical skills. Strong understanding of joinery and POS materials, techniques, and installation processes. Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to produce accurate estimations within given timeframes. Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively interact with clients, suppliers, and internal teams. Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proficiency in reading technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications. A proactive and solution-oriented mindset, with a focus on delivering high-quality results. Knowledge of relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
