Job Title - Intermediate /Project Estimator Projects - EHV and substation projects The Company An established Manchester based EHV and substation civil engineering contractor. An exciting opportunity to work on a wide range of projects such as Civil Engineering Substations, HV Wind Farms The role Management of Enquiries and ITTs from start to end, within deadlines Review and assess all tender information received Attend (if appropriate) any site visits / pre-tender meetings Prepare tender programmes / submission documents Liaise with operations teams to understand outputs / delivery methods Compile detailed job costs from first principles Build-up internal labour and management costs Engage with specialist sub-contractors / suppliers Ensure multiple materials / equipment / sub-contractor quotes received Liaising with all departments to help compile submission Manage Tender Queries / Clarifications Compile final pricing in required format Undertake detailed commercial review, with senior management, prior to submission Compile & submit all bid documents Organise (& attend, if appropriate) client post-tender meetings Successful applicant will: Possess a keen attention to detail Be able to review and understand engineering specifications, work scopes and drawings Have a high level of maths and IT skills Possess excellent communication and presentation skills Be able to interact closely with other members of bid team and other disciplines Be flexible to cope with fluctuating workload and client deadlines Possess a considerable knowledge of civil engineering and the construction industry, with particular regard to the EHV-related civils arena groundworks, reinforced concrete, substation civils (new build and existing compound modifications) trenching, ducting, cable installation within cross-country and carriageway environments To register your interest in this excellent career opportunity, please submit your most recent CV to myself or call me if you have any questions on for a confidential discussion my email address is JBRP1_UKTJ
