A Dayton Turbine Manufacturer is in need of a Project Estimator.
Responsibilities:
- Research costs: Research the costs of materials, labor, equipment, and transport
- Gather quotes: Obtain quotes from suppliers and subcontractors
- Create estimates: Create detailed price lists and cost summaries for projects
- Prepare bids: Compile bids for work and present them to clients
- Manage projects: Oversee projects to ensure costs are on track
- Communicate: Communicate with construction managers, planners, design teams, and clients
- Use software: Use computer software to analyze data, weigh risks, and compile reports
- Stay up to date: Keep up with inflation, exchange rates, and construction technology
- Assess risk: Assess and adhere to health and safety requirements and risk assessments
- Make recommendations: Provide recommendations for reducing costs
