We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Electrical Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, with hands-on field experience and a solid understanding of the full project lifecycle. Prior roles as a Project Manager or Foreman are highly desirable, as they bring valuable insight into real-world project execution and cost analysis.

This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate and competitive bids by analyzing project documents, preparing detailed cost estimates, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.



Key Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret project drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.
  • Develop accurate and competitive cost estimates for electrical systems across commercial, industrial, and/or residential projects.
  • Perform take-offs and quantify materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor needs.
  • Coordinate and communicate with suppliers, subcontractors, and other team members to gather pricing and clarify scope.
  • Prepare bid proposals, cost breakdowns, and value engineering alternatives.
  • Assist in preconstruction planning, budgeting, and scheduling.
  • Participate in bid reviews and strategy meetings with the management team.
  • Analyze historical data, trends, and market conditions to inform pricing and risk.
  • Support project handoff meetings with operations and project management teams post-award.

Required Qualifications


  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in the electrical construction industry
  • Proven field experience as an Electrician, Foreman, or Project Manager.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC, electrical codes, and construction practices.
  • Proficient in estimating software (such as Accubid, ConEst, or similar).
  • Excellent skills in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical documents.
  • Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Qualifications

  • Experience estimating both design-build and design-bid-build projects.
  • Familiarity with digital takeoff tools and construction management platforms.
  • Knowledge of local electrical market conditions and vendor relationships.
  • Journeyman or Master Electrician license is a plus.
