Estimator and Project Manager

About the position: We are seeking a motivated self-starter to join our estimating department. We perform all facets of site development for commercial, industrial and residential projects, ranging in size from $200K to $20+ Million. Selected candidate will be responsible for procuring work to bid, bidding projects, and negotiating contracts and change orders with owners/clients. Selected candidate will also be responsible for the project management of projects awarded; coordinating with accounting department on invoicing from subcontractors and vendors, issuing and/or reviewing subcontracts and PO’s, and coordinating with field personnel on awarded projects.

Candidates should meet the following criteria:

• Minimum of 5+ years estimating experience
• Good organizational skills (looking for someone extremely detail oriented)
• Good communication skills in dealing with clients and co-workers
• Have a client portfolio they can bring to table for obtaining projects to bid
• Contacts/relationship with local engineering companies for soliciting projects
• Ability to find projects to bid on.
• Experience with project management and cost control after the bid has been won
• Proficient at reading plans and specs
• Ability to read and understand contract documents
• Computer literate with a good to excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs & Bid2Win Software
• Experience with AGTEK earthwork take-off software
• Prior “hands-on” field experience a plus
• Be willing to work required hours to meet project deadlines
