Our Civil team is a division of the business specialising in Infrastructure Construction, based around reinforced concrete. We are currently delivering work ranging from Bridges and Wharves to Water Treatment Plants and Storage Tanks and Pipelines.You’ll be producing consistent and accurate cost estimates for projects and coordinating the estimating process on a wide range of projects. On a day-to-day basis, you will lead the preparation of estimates, co-ordinate procurement inquiries and work with the team on estimate reviews.Your reputable delivery and experience will be second only to your leadership qualities. You will be driven by client relationships that lead all parties to success.The position can be based in either Auckland or in Tauranga.In addition to the above you will: Be involved in the preparation of first principles, resource-based cost estimates with identified plant and labour requirementsBe competent compiling and producing take-offs for individual trades bill of quantities, completing project budgets and cost plansProgramme the scope of works as per the construction methodology and assessing duration and productivityDevelop an accurate scope of works, verifying work breakdown schedules and bill of quantitiesUnderstand and be confident with project specifications and legal requirements, including quality, safety, environmental and sustainabilityComplete subcontractor/supply pricing packages, reviewing subcontractor pricing and performing price evaluationsProvide handover of successful tenders to operational staffHave the confidence to participate in pre-contract negotiations and tender reviews with senior managementGood Work equals Good BenefitsMedical insurance for you and your whānau.Life insurance from day one.KiwiSaver employer contributions after service milestones up to 7%.Fuel discount card.Parental leave top-up payment with additional return to work support.Family scholarships.
