Reference Number: EstimatorLocation: Edmonton & Fort McMurray Salary : NegotiableSector: Construction and Engineering Our client leading Commercial Roofing and Sheet metal contractor have a fantastic, challenging opportunity for an ambitious individual who possesses the initiative and willingness to work with our growing company.The successful estimator candidate will join an existing estimating team and be responsible for cost estimates for Industrial, Commercial and Institutional Roofing & Sheet Metal Projects.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Create complete and accurate Bid File in accordance with the tender submission – labour, equipment, material, rentals and subcontracts.Attend site meetings, field observations, measurements and photos.Obtain pricing from suppliers, sub-contractors and incorporate in estimatePrepare take-offs from construction specification where applicableSubmit all Tenders on time.RFQ’s and RFI’s as required – creation/submission/negotiation.Prepare/review and edit contract documentsPreside over contractual disputesMaintain files and correspondence on active and completed projectsProvides technical support to field staff.Identify market opportunitiesPerforms other duties and responsibilities as required. QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS: Minimum Post-Secondary Education in related industry (Architectural, Civil Engineering Construction Project Management)Minimum of years of experience in a related industry Self-motivated, proven ability with scheduling and planningProficiency in computer software applications (MS Office, MS Project, Word, Excel, Outlook)Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships using diplomacy and tact with Owners/Clients, Consultants & Engineers.Processes a strong attention to detailAbility to work under pressure generated by short deadlines and flexibility in hours to meet deadlines.Proven ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbalHealth & Safety Knowledge Share This Job Vacancy Related
