Compensation:
$20 - $25 hourly DOE
Responsibilities:
- Calculate cost factors and prepare estimates for commercial plumbing projects
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and team members to gather project information effectively
- Review construction blueprints and project specifications to determine accurate costs
- Provide clients with detailed breakdowns of project costs
- Collaborate closely with project managers to ensure precise budgeting and scheduling
- Stay updated on industry advancements, building codes, and regulations to maintain accuracy in estimates
Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field. Alternatively, a High School Diploma with 3 years of estimating experience or 5 years of trade-related experience will be considered
- Proficiency in plumbing codes and systems is required for this role.
- Knowledge of Estimating Software, as well as proficiency in Excel, Word, and other relevant computer programs
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- The ability to meet deadlines, plan effectively, and organize work efficiently is required
- Demonstrated capability to secure work at a reasonable profit is essential
- Attention to detail must be consistently maintained
- Demonstrated experience as a Commercial Plumbing Estimator
- In-depth understanding of commercial plumbing systems and construction techniques.
- Proficient in reading and deciphering construction blueprints
- Strong mathematical and analytical abilities
