Join Our Team as an Estimator

Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Manufacturing Estimator to join our team. The Estimator will play a key role in analyzing project specifications, preparing cost estimates, and ensuring accurate pricing for manufacturing projects. This position requires a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and labor to deliver precise and competitive bids.

Responsibilities:

  • Learn our manufacturing operations and translate that knowledge into accurate product costing/quoting.
  • Build and maintain sustainable relationships and trust with customer accounts through open and interactive communication.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, including labor, materials, overhead, and other relevant factors.
  • Collaborate with production, and procurement teams to gather accurate data for estimates.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and propose alternative solutions where applicable.
  • Provide pricing information and support for customer quotes, bids, and proposals.
  • Maintain organized records of estimates, bid submissions, and project cost analyses.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment on project scope and budgets.
  • Identify and assess customer needs to ensure satisfaction.

Skills Needed:

  • Minimum of 2 years of customer support experience.
  • Strong ability to understand technical information and translate it into costing.
  • Mechanically inclined; Machine Tool Background .
  • Ability to read basic prints.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Capability to learn industry specifications and research standards.
  • Quick learning and adaptability.
  • Patience in learning the quoting process.
  • Effective telephone communication skills with the ability to discuss and resolve customer issues.
  • Ability to build and maintain rapport with customers to provide exceptional service.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Positive and professional demeanor.
  • ERP software or manufacturing accounting experience is a plus.
