Metal Fabrication Estimator
The Metal Fabrication Estimator will be responsible for receiving and analyzing the Request for Quotes (RFQs) for a customer metal fabrication company.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate quotations based on customer supplied blueprints.
- Work with the Leads to get accurate fabrication hours and lead times.
- Request updated raw material pricing.
- Request outside operation pricing and determine the best vendor by analyzing the cost and lead time.
- Locate new vendors when needed and establish a working relationship.
- Ensure RFQs are being completed in a timely manner.
- Comply with all requirements noted by the RFQ requestor.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Blueprint reading is a must.
- Knowledge of fabrication and manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of the metal supply industry.
- Proficient computer skills and ability to use Microsoft Office.
- Must be able to work both independently and within a team.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong problem solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to input and organize the data created.
Education/Requirements:
- Associates Degree or equivalent work experience
Schedule:
- 8-10 hour shifts
- Monday-Friday
- Daytime
Salary:
- Starting at $22-$28/hour (based on knowledge and experience)
